crash in multiple screen configuration

• UPDATE 2026-05-22: unable to reproduce that crash with Xephyr
• setup multiple X11 screens (NOT xinerama) in single Xorg
  • so that you can choose where to run programs on: DISPLAY=:0.0 or DISPLAY=:0.1
• run fluxbox with 1 or 2 toolbars on each screen:

$  grep '\.screen[0-9]\.toolbar\.onhead' ~/.fluxbox/init
session.screen2.toolbar.onhead: 1
session.screen0.toolbar.onhead: 0
session.screen1.toolbar.onhead: 1

• try EACH screen menu -> configuration -> toolbar -> on head…:

  • Head 1
  • Head 2
  • All Heads

• …and have fun debugging :(

xephyr

• start fluxbox (w/o any config) under Xephyr w/ xinerama

$ Xephyr -br -ac -noreset -no-host-grab -glamor +xinerama +extension RANDR -screen 1280x720 -origin 1280,0 -screen 640x480 -origin 0,240 :50

• [X] click Configuration->Toolbar->On Head->All Heads
• menu is shown only at main screen if clicked on second screen
• auto-hide toolbar doesn’t come up on second screen
• unable to drag windows from second screen, while moving over (even with gaps) works fine
